As part of ongoing efforts to nurture growth, accountability, and community resilience, the PAG National Office (N.O) team recently conducted an internal monitoring visit to the Tombe of Peace group in Ofua 6 Village. This visit was more than a routine check-in—it was a powerful moment of connection, reflection, and shared purpose.
Walking Beside the Farmers
The team engaged directly with local farmers, listening to their stories, challenges, and triumphs. Through open dialogue and field observation, they assessed the group’s progress under Conservation Agriculture practices—a sustainable approach that emphasizes minimal soil disturbance, permanent soil cover, and crop rotation.
What they found was deeply encouraging: a community united by vision and driven by determination. Farmers showcased their fields with pride, demonstrating innovative techniques and a commitment to restoring soil health and increasing yields. The mentorship offered during the visit was met with enthusiasm, as members eagerly embraced new insights and strategies to further strengthen their work.
A Beacon of Hope in Ofua 6
The Tombe of Peace group continues to shine as a beacon of collaboration, innovation, and hope. Their name is more than symbolic—it reflects a lived reality where agriculture becomes a pathway to peace, dignity, and shared prosperity. In every furrowed field and every farmer’s smile, the spirit of transformation is alive.
This group is not just cultivating crops; they are cultivating a culture. A culture of peace rooted in shared labor, mutual respect, and a deep love for the land. Their resilience in the face of challenges is a testament to what communities can achieve when they come together with purpose.
Looking Ahead
The PAG N.O team left Ofua 6 inspired and reaffirmed in their mission. The visit underscored the importance of continued support, learning, and accountability in building sustainable futures. As the Tombe of Peace group presses forward, they carry with them the seeds of change—seeds that will grow into a harvest of hope for generations to come.
