About SDS
The SDS Department has the mandate of responding to the physical needs of people in crises to empower communities holistically to achieve Godliness, dignified living, resilience and self-reliance in communities. Currently, the department is active in 17 out of 25 Pastorates in PAG with their offices located in Kabale , Kasese, Arua, Rhino Camp Refugee Settlement, Kaberamaido, Soroti, Kumi, Amuria, Kotido, Moyo, Tororo, Palisa, Jinja, Kampala, Apac, Gulu, Kitgum and Nebbi.
PAG has implemented various projects in emergency response, recovery and community development in the sectors of Food and Non-Food Assistance, Peace Building, Psychosocial Support, Health, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Food Security, Livelihood, Environmental Conservation, Education including Functional Adult Literacy, Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC), Church and Community Mobilization Process (CCMP) also known as Participatory Evaluation Process (PEP).
Significant transformation has been achieved in the target communities through these projects.
