Future Plans

The Department envisages improving a number of areas to increase its effectiveness and efficiency in fulfilling its mandate including the following:

  • Develop an IT policy to guide online engagement
  • Review some of the current PAG Policies and develop those that are missing.
  • Upgrade PAG’s website and strengthen social media engagement to improve the Department’s visibility to attract more opportunities for partnerships
  • Strengthening harmonization process in all Pastorates that have SDS Departments.
  • Formalize the structural relationship between SDS Department and other donor-funded programs/projects in the Pastorates e.g. Compassion Assisted projects.
  • Strengthening resource mobilization and expand the work under SDS Departments in other Pastorates.
  • Extend SDS services to other districts in the current Pastorates.
  • Secure field cars for SDS Pastorate offices in Arua and Karamoja.
  • Establish Pastorate sustainability projects for ensuring continuity of SDS work in the absence of external funding.

  • Harmonizing the work in SDS Department with other work in PAG ministries
  • Fence Pastorate office (West Teso)
  • Strengthening resource mobilization
  • Extend SDS services to other districts in the Pastorates
  • Strengthening Amaranth project (Kigezi-Ankole)
  • Re-envisioning the staff and community on PEP programming (South Teso Pastorate)
