Sanctus is a discipleship program for young adults between the age of 18 to 25. The major aim of the program is to motivate development in one’s relationship with God, building a Christ-like character and applying Biblical truth to daily living.

Linda Duncalfe, a missionary appointed by PAOC and working under PAG Uganda, directs the progam. She was invited to do so by the Presiding Bishop of PAG Uganda, Bishop Emiau Simon Peter while he was in Canada speaking at a conference. Bishop Emiau desired that PAG would have a young adults discipleship program and knowing that Linda had experience with such, invited her to Uganda to work with PAG.

Sanctus

Sanctus began operations in Uganda in 2015 starting with 12 young adults from Bombo PAG. They met on a weekly basis. From this Sanctus grew to a five-week, full-time schedule. It was difficult to sustain the five-week platform because students were not able to commit that much time. Sanctus later moved to a three-week camp that happens annually in January. This allows young adults to attend the camp during their holiday season.

In addition to the annual camp, Sanctus engages in discipleship ministry in high schools working primarily with S6 and S4 classes. Sanctus currently partners with Namugongo Secondary and Vocational School in Kampala, Donela High School in Bombo and Kiyinji Memorial Secondary School in Kakoge.

In the year 2023, Sanctus began ministry in other districts conducting a three-day discipleship program in the various churches. Sanctus has worked with Soroti Agip PAG, Kabakuli PAG in Ngora, Church at the Riverside in Jinja, Hoima PAG, Apac PAG, Jinja PAG, Masaka PAG, Arua Town Church PAG, Busolwe PAG.

Sanctus’ greatest asset is its development and mentorship of young leaders. Students who successfully complete Sanctus Camp are invited to serve as volunteers and facilitators through the Sanctus Next program. Individuals are given further leadership training and have opportunity to serve in high school, district tours and camp ministry.
