PAG-Uganda and Partners Bring Hope to Children in Kaberamaido

Last week, Bishop Rev. Dr. George Joel Omara, Director of Ministries at Pentecostal Assemblies of God (PAG)-Uganda, visited Kaberamaido together with representatives from PAG-Uganda’s partners, EduDeo Ministries and ShareWord Global, in a day marked by faith, encouragement, education, and hope for the local community.

During the visit, the team spent time with the pupils and staff of Ojama Nursery and Primary School, a school PAG established in 2024 to meet the educational needs of children in the community. As part of the day’s activities, the team distributed Bibles to the children and dedicated 38 Primary Seven candidates who are preparing to take an important step in their educational journey.

The dedication provided an opportunity to pray with the candidates, encourage them, and remind them to stay focused as they prepare for their future. Surrounded by their teachers, fellow pupils, ministry leaders, and partners, the candidates were encouraged not only in their education but also in their faith and character.

The visit also offered a glimpse into the remarkable growth of Ojama Nursery and Primary School since its establishment. Although the school currently operates from a grass-thatched structure, it has continued to grow into a vibrant center of learning and hope within the community. Today, the school serves 447 pupils, comprising 191 children in nursery and 256 pupils in primary.

The growth of the school in just two years reflects the community’s need for education and the vision behind its establishment. What may appear to be modest surroundings have become a place where hundreds of children gather each day to learn, develop, and dream about their future. The school’s journey demonstrates that meaningful transformation does not always begin with perfect facilities; it can begin with a vision, a commitment to serve, and people willing to invest in the lives of others.

The presence of EduDeo Ministries and ShareWord Global also highlighted the value of partnership in advancing ministry and community development. By coming together around a shared commitment to serve children and communities, the partners contributed to a day that went beyond a formal visit and became an opportunity to encourage, equip, and inspire.

For the 38 Primary Seven candidates, the day carried particular significance. Their dedication marked an important moment in their journey, reminding them that they are part of a community that believes in their potential and is committed to seeing them move forward with confidence and purpose.

The Kaberamaido visit was therefore more than a ceremony or a distribution of Bibles. It was a celebration of faith in action, purposeful partnership, education, and the potential of a new generation. From the establishment of Ojama Nursery and Primary School in 2024 to its growth into a school serving 447 pupils today, the story is one of a vision taking root and a community responding with hope.

As the pupil continue their educational journey, the visit stands as a reminder that every investment in a child is an investment in the future. At Ojama, faith, education, and community continue to come together to create opportunities for children to learn, grow, and look ahead with hope.
