PAG YOUTH CAMP – NORTH WEST NILE PASTORATE ( MOYO)

Moyo, Uganda — The PAG Skill Development Center in Moyo came alive with worship, learning, fellowship, talent, and youthful energy as hundreds of young people from across the North West Nile Pastorate gathered for the pastorate’s Annual Youth Conference, held from Monday through Saturday, 10 January 2026.

Held under the theme “Christ’s Fullness,” the annual gathering brought together young people from Moyo, Adjumani, Obongi, Yumbe, and Madi Okolo, creating a vibrant platform for fellowship, spiritual growth, personal development, and the discovery of opportunities to serve both God and their communities.

The conference is an annual initiative of the North West Nile Pastorate, designed to bring together its young people in large numbers for a time of spiritual renewal, learning, talent development, and meaningful interaction. In keeping with the pastorate’s commitment to encouraging wider participation, the venue of the conference rotates among the different districts within the pastorate, giving young people from different communities the opportunity to host and actively participate in the gathering.

Throughout the five-day programme, the young people took part in Bible-centered teaching, worship, mentorship, skill-building sessions, and fellowship, while also expressing their talents through Music, Dance and Drama (MDD) and football competitions. These activities provided opportunities for the participants to learn beyond the classroom, build relationships with fellow young people, develop their abilities, and discover how their gifts can be used in service to God and the wider community.

Adding an international dimension to the conference, missionaries from Nigeria joined the gathering and shared testimonies and messages that challenged the young people to pursue a deeper relationship with God. Their message centred on the importance of seeking the presence and purposes of the Lord above earthly pleasures, encouraging the youth to make Christ the foundation of their lives and decisions.

At the closing ceremony, Pastor Anyanjo Phillip, one of the leaders in the North West Nile Pastorate, emphasized that the gathering was intended to shape young people not only spiritually but also in their character, skills, and sense of responsibility. He challenged the youth to remain faithful to God as they pursue education and other opportunities in life.

The message reflected one of the central purposes of the conference: to raise a generation of young people who can combine faith, knowledge, character, and practical skills as they take up their responsibilities in the Church and in society.

For the young people who attended, the conference offered more than five days away from their usual routines. It became a space to worship together, learn from one another, develop their talents, listen to new perspectives, and build friendships across the pastorate. The large turnout from Moyo, Adjumani, Obongi, Yumbe, and Madi Okolo also demonstrated the growing enthusiasm among young people to participate in activities that speak directly to their spiritual and personal development.

As the conference came to a close, participants returned to their respective communities with renewed enthusiasm and a stronger sense of purpose, challenged to live out their faith and use their gifts to make a difference.

The 2027 Annual Youth Conference will move to Adjumani District, continuing the North West Nile Pastorate’s tradition of rotating the venue across its districts. The rotation not only allows different communities to host the annual gathering but also strengthens participation, fellowship, and a shared sense of ownership among the youth across the pastorate.

From one district to another, the annual conference continues to create a platform where young people can grow in Christ, discover their gifts, build meaningful relationships, and prepare themselves to serve God and their communities. Under the theme “Christ’s Fullness,” the 2026 gathering in Moyo became another chapter in that continuing journey—one that points toward a generation being equipped with faith, purpose, skills, and a commitment to live for Christ.
